I have Plate 4 and a Leupold Deltapoint Pro on a Miroku-Winchester 1892 .44 Magnum, and the same plate and red dot on a Miroku-Winchester 1886 Extra Light .45-70. The dovetail plate is a little over-sized but easily fitted with a little filing and tapped in with a brass hammer. The red dot plate fits very securely. Not sure what the extra screws are for. They don’t fit the red dot, and I just used the screws that came with the red dot. I highly recommend this plate if you want to securely mount a red dot to a Winchester in this manner.
