The brackets are tightly pressed against the side surfaces of the ventilated bar, while the outer contour of the surfaces of the installed brackets in the upper part forms the contour of the mounting base of the Picatinny, and the space above the ventilated bar between the brackets remains free, which allows you to aim through a mechanical sight (front sight) without removing the brackets when shooting without a sight.

I did not tried on a Beretta but it fits on a Guerini Magnus light as well as on a Fabarm XLR5 (with a slight modification).
Very pleased with the mount.
